In my life I have been pretty much around the world....
I lived in England as a kid while dad was in the miltary....
I was in West Germany in the Army and then again later as a civilian working for the military.

Then after the turn of 2000 came about, I started traveling in Europe, Caribbean and South America.
I like to take cruises and I have a page for the cruises, but this is for the other travel. Some of it was as I was cruising...

Travel Inside USA

In 2012 I made a very fun trip where I actually drove while in England.
I drove from London to Birmingham and waws going to drive up to Harrogate where we lived when I was a kid.
Dad had always told me it did not take long to drive to and from London..
Well, it was over two hours to Birmingham and I was worn out driving on the wrong side of the road.
So I had a great time in Birmingham. I went to the jaguar factory annd an open air museum for the canals in England.
I never knew that there were more canals in England tha in Venice!!

In Birmingham a couple days...

Then to London and turn in that car...

Then to Venice and boats are great...

Then in Sepember 2012 Dad decides he needs to go to Koln West Germany and see where he crossed the Rhine and see a cathedral that he saw on a TV Program. So we got things together and I found that the airlines are great with helping the disabled. They took dad's scooter free of charge, shuttled us from security to boarding and from where we got off the plane thru customs to pickup his scooter. We rented a small SUV and found it easy to travel with the scooter.

So the Cathedral was fun...

Then we took a look all around Koln.

Then we found a nice Castle nearby.

Touring Walluf where I used to live...

One of the most fun things I have done traveling is getting 5 days free room and board outside of Madrid. The Vaughan Town Experience is a rewarding program where you get to spend a week with around 15 Spainiards and other Anglos. You get to chat and get to know one another. Do skits and other activities with others and learn about them and their culture. The first time I went was so much fun in an actual walled city with a castle. The last time I went I was in a larger city that used to be walled and had a really nice castle on the top of the hill. Only a few sections of the wall still exist but you get the feel of it.

Fun in the VaughanTown Program

Pedrasa City and Castle...

After a week with all these really great people, two of them live in Madrid and gave me a tour of the city. Haad dinner and a grat time. Everytime i go to Madrid now we have dinner and run around Myaor Plaza and more.

Fun in Madrid with new friends...
